The Declaration of Independence is what gave the people their status as being an American.

They created a jurisdiction law saying that the top 6 inches of the soil is national jurisdiction, while under the soil is the international land jurisdiction that touches all lands throughout the Earth.

Each state is a nation defined by its borders, therefore, people were Michiganians on Michigan.

That status is called an “American State National.”

As Americans, they were no longer under the foreign status of Britain or Rome.

They were indeed independent.

Between 1776 and 1861, the states grew to 34 “States of the Union,” where every one of those nation states was “ratified” (approved and confirmed ) by the people by way of assembling to do the voting.

The American country was being governed by the people.  This is historic fact.

The people were themselves the government, and were free of any “authority” over them.

No separate government was involved… only Americans made the decisions for themselves.

This had never been done before. They proved that it was a better system.

So, for 84 years our lawful system worked well.

Then, there was a takeover of our independence… and that’s a long story for later.

Update:  In 2020, the call from our Lawful Federation was for the people in our states to assemble, and they did, even though 17 out of 50 were still territories. Our Law says that only the people of the already ratified states can “ratify” (approve and confirm) those 17 territories into statehood… and so by vote, we did.

As of October 2020 we the people of the first 33 states unanimously voted the territories into statehood, and so, we now have 50 nation states for the first time ever… all completed correctly by way of our own Laws, and not by any foreign legal system which has no such authority to do so.
