When you fill out this form, you will get letters to be sent to the following entities:

  • County or City Clerk to remove from (or prevent from being added to) the Voter roles.
    • This is the most important one! As an American State National, you are no longer eligible to vote in the corporation elections. It is actually unlawful for you to do so! Make sure you get off those voter roles. Even if you never registered to vote, we have learned in recent years that people get added without knowledge or consent. Every ASN should send out this letter and it is required in order to volunteer in The Michigan Assembly.
  • U.S. Secretary of State (sent with a copy of your Declaration of Political Status)
  • State Secretary of State (sent with a copy of your Declaration of Political Status)
    • The above two letters are highly recommended for everyone to send out. This is how you notify the defacto of your change in Political Status. If you choose not to mail them, it does not harm your status and does not prevent you from volunteering in The Michigan Assembly.
  • IRS – Washington D.C.
  • Internal Revenue Service – New York
    • The above two letters are optional. Some prefer to continue to pay taxes. Those who work for a government agency are required to pay them.
  • Military Severance Letter (only if you are a veteran)
    • This one is crucial if you were in the military and is actually part of your Status Correction. This letter must be sent out along with a copy of your DD214 in order to be considered completely on the land and soil.

Use Proper Case (Upper/Lowercase), even if your Birth Certificate is in all UPPERCASE.

More than one Birth Certificate or CoLB?
If you have more than one Birth Certificate and they show different names, then use the “older” name.
For instance, if one was born “Robert James Smith”, but then was adopted at age 5 and another Birth Certificate was created using the adopted name “Robert James Cramer”, then “Robert James Smith” is the older name. This man would type in “Robert James Smith” in the fields below.
